There has been a lot of information recently about the availability and use of weight-loss injections within the NHS. Many patients have been asking us about this too, so we thought it would be helpful to share the following guidance and information.
Important Information
- Our GPs are unable to prescribe weight loss injections at the surgery.
- Weight loss injections are only available in limited numbers through the Tier 3 Weight Management Programme.
- The waiting list for the Tier 3 Weight Management Programme is currently 6-months.
- Please note that there is no guarantee of weight loss medication, even after referral and review.
