Our Clinical Pharmacists work with us and with our patients in all aspects of the safe and effective management of the prescribing of medicines. Part of their work is to undertake medication reviews for patients with long-term conditions. This will include contacting patients to discuss their understanding of the medicines prescribed to them, checking for side effects, considering whether medicine should be altered or changed if they are not working optimally.
Our clinical Pharmacists are:
My name is Shezan and I am the clinical pharmacist at the Grove Medical Centre. I work remotely and my work primarily consists of telephone medication reviews, Reconciling discharge letters, and helping doctors with general tasks. I enjoy speaking with patients and doing everything I can to help with any queries and answering any questions. I enjoy working within the multidisciplinary team at the Grove and working together to deliver healthcare at the highest standard.
Over the past ten years, Ravi Morzaria has built up a breadth of experience working across a variety of sectors in Pharmacy after completing his Master’s Degree from University College London. He is currently studying a postgraduate programme in Clinical Pharmacy & Primary Care at the University of Manchester.
His main responsibilities with Grove Medical Practice are to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, helping to optimise patients’ treatment regimes, dealing with medication changes on discharge between different care settings and working at a network level with other local GP surgeries to audit, develop and improve prescribing safety protocols.
Outside of work Ravi is a passionate musician, having performed all over the UK with his band on piano and vocals in a former life. Nowadays, he has traded this all in for belting out highlights from the Disney back catalogue, with his one, soon-to-be two children.
