What to do when our Urgent online portal is closed
There will be occasions when we need to close our Urgent Appointment requests (contact within 24 hours) portal.
We only close the portal when we have reached our clinical capacity for the day and our Duty Team are working at full capacity.
If our online portal is closed and you feel that your request is still urgent and needs help or support that day, the following options are available to you.
- If you are experiencing a medical emergency, you should always telephone 999, who will respond to your request and may direct you to your local A&E department.
- If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, call 111 and select Option 2.
- You can contact the NHS 111 service by telephoning 111 or by visiting 111.nhs.uk
- You may telephone the practice and speak to a member of our Reception Team. When our Urgent Appointment portal is closed, our team will be following our emergency protocol The team will direct you to the most appropriate NHS service to support your request and will liaise with our Duty Doctor for further guidance, where appropriate.
